One of the founding fathers of green building and sustainability in the housing industry with a 30-year career contributing to development, promotion, and understanding of principles and practices. Builder, author, educator, advocate, and driving force behind numerous leading green building programs, including California Build It Green and Colorado Built Green, as well as in New England, Phoenix, Seattle, and Washington, D.C. Founded Passive Solar Industries Council in 1980 that evolved into the Sustainable Buildings Industries Council. Through training programs conducted for utilities, HBAs, the AIA, the NAHB, and at national conferences, has personally trained thousands of residential building professionals.
